A public dialogue event was organised by SURT and held in the auditorium of the Maritime Museum of Barcelona on the 30th of October, 2018, from 4PM to 8PM. The event included the photographic exhibition “Captures of one’s own”, showing 30 photos with self-representations of 6 migrant and refugee women, usually invisible to the dominant imaginary, as well as two dialogue panels among professionals, representatives of civil society organisations and policy-makers. More than 80 persons took part in the event, including policy-makers, MPs, gender equality and migration professionals (among others), and the migrant and refugee women who participated in the empowerment seminars.
